Lumix FS30 Review

The Lumix FS30 is one of the cheapest in the digital camera range and has a lot of mega pixels to brag about for its extortionately cheap price. An 8 x optical zoom also comes packed in this compact camera but its possible to get more zoom at sacrifice of mega pixels.  It currently comes in at around £131 in most retail stores but can be found cheaper if you look around.

Pictures

Shooting outdoors with the Lumix FS30 is no problem and even in poor light the pictures are still crisp and clear. The sharpness of the photo is also exceptional quality for a small portable camera. Focusing options also make the photos look sharp even on the edges.

Shots still remain sharp when the lens is fully zoomed and do well in comparison to other travel cameras. Some small details is lost but not enough to really notice especially when the mega pixels are high in the first place.

While the camera has crammed many pixels into its lens it image quality is respectable when it comes to low light or areas of shade. The image still shows vivid colours and handles contrasts extremely well.

The Lumix FS30 has a ‘wide’ angle lens. The industry has stated its on par with entry level dSLR lenses. It has an 8 x optical zoom and according to experts reaches telephoto lengths at 224mm. However, having this extra zoom can make it difficult to use in low light but works pretty well under normal conditions.
